1. CGT (Capital Gains Tax) on UK Residential Property:

3. Search for:

"Report and pay your Capital Gains Tax" 

4. Select:

"Report and pay your Capital Gains Tax" 

5. Scroll down:

Please scroll down on the page until you see the green button to sign-in or create an account.

6. Select:

Press the green button to sign-in or create an account.

7. Government Gateway:

Please create a Government Gateway account. If you have already created one,  then select the first option of "Government Gateway" to log-in.

8. Government Gateway:

Select the option of "Government Gateway" to log-in.

9. MFA (Multifactor Authentication Code):

Enter the MFA access code sent to your mobile as a text message or on your authenticator app by HMRC.

10. Create account:

Review the details held by HMRC. Select "change" to update details. Then click on the green button to create the CGT account.

11. Account number:

Copy and paste the CGT account number into an e-mail to your accountant.

12. Summary:

Log-in to gov.uk using Government Gateway, to create CGT (Capital Gains Tax) on UK Property Account, then e-mail the newly created account number to your accountant.
